I recently asked Steve to stock a custom .338 Federal barreled action for me. I’ve known Steve for many years both as a customer and as a friend. At a trade show, I took a close look at Steve’s stock work and hydro-dip camo painting and knew I’d have him stock my next rifle. As it turned out the .338 Federal was my next custom rifle and Steve did an excellent job stocking for me. In it’s first hunting season, the rifle performed flawlessly when I had to make a quick off-hand shot at 215 yards on a bull elk. I also took a nice whitetail buck earlier in the season with this rifle. Steve’s attention to detail is very thorough and appreciated. If I didn’t do my own gunsmithing work, I’d have Steve build my complete rifles.
